:::HERE ARE THE BAND DEETS:::

ELOISE BATES (Melbourne)
Since the age of 8, she has been writing her own lyrics, and constructing melodies of grunge rock-pop that captivates the soul, tug at the heart or rip at the essence of raw rock and roll. Her music video for ‘Killing Every Ounce’ was a hit with the use of medieval meets hidden modern day scenery. A song about a girl who was eager to be with her, and Eloise Bates warning her that although their time together may be exceptional, that it’s unlikely to last singing ‘Tell me if you want this, and I’ll call the coroner and apologies in advance notification for killing every ounce of you’. Her songs like ‘Made of Numb’ and ‘Eviscerated’ are some of her hard hitting hits about relationships and the struggles with emotions and love. With no fear to write about sex, drugs and rock and roll, she exposes herself in strong manner using the lyrics of a poet and the growl of grunge coated by the delectable coating of rock-pop. Her EP ‘Take Your Shhh Back’ is to be coming soon.

Howdy folks

DJ’s White Whiskers and Timmy K are happy to announce that on Sunday the 10th of OCT we are doing a sunny afternoon set at The Glasshouse.

It’s been a while since both of us have played this awesome venue and we thought how cool would it be to do a set from 4pm in the back beer garden and soak up the sun at the same time.

Playing Alternative/Electro/Pop remixes to go hand in had with a cocktail or to it’s all about the Sunday arvo comedown from the weekend, so head on down from 4pm till 8pm.

Music, Drink Specials and good music hope to see you all there.

Atomic Betsy: the Girrrl Rock Edition: Sat 2nd October

ATOMIC BETSY: THE GIRRRL ROCK EDITION

SATURDAY 2ND OCTOBER

FEATURING:

MANNEQUIN ALLEY (live set)

LOVE THE RUNAWAYS? LOVE THE DONNAS? LIKE LADIES WITH GUITARS?

Three chicks who rock out, all bullsh*t barred.

Josie on drums: coming all the way from Buckinghamshire England, she came to Melbourne last year and played with a cover band until she was kidnapped by the other members of Domino earlier this year.
Riley on bass: Originally from Liverpool she migrated to South Australia only to eventually move to Melbourne, Rock Capital, specifically to pursue music.
Estelle on guitar: Our native Melbournian, born and bred under Melbourne’s temperamental skies, she walked on her first stage at four and hasn’t wanted to leave it ever since.

We play a mixture of rock and roll, with influences coming from a lot of classic rock along with some modern-day influences.
We’re on a mission to bring the “live for rock” attitude back and put real female musicians on stage.

Check out http://www.myspace.com/mannequinalley to hear some of their older demo’s.
